Starting his career as a video game developer, Arctic Wolf global CISO Adam Marre joined the US Army before spending 12 years in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a SWAT senior team leader and Special Agent.
Within the FBI, Marre was assigned to investigate cybercrime, which provided his initial motivation to develop the technical skills necessary to work in cybersecurity in both the public and private sectors.
During EDGE 2025, Marre will dive deep into his extensive CISO experience and history of dealing with cybercrime at every level, including what goes into the day-to-day of an effective CISO, how business leaders can bolster their security culture, and what shifts to expect from cybercriminal behaviour over the near future.
With more than a decade of investigating cybercrime, Marre will take a compelling look into Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) data and insights, including the role that overseeing security operations has taught him about leadership, best practices and advising organisations.
With a career spanning tactical operations and cyber investigations, Marre brings a rare perspective shaped by years at the intersection of physical and digital security.
At EDGE, Marre will explore how understanding human behaviour is now central to effective cyber defence. Attendees will gain practical strategies to grow partners’ cyber practices and help customers build a more resilient security culture and reduce the risk posed by the human element.
