This year Route 66 celebrated its 100th birthday! Cities along the historic mother road reminisced about the way the highway created memories for generations of families. But how do you teach a child about the significance of a road that runs nearly 2,500 miles? This new book can help! “Route 66: Faces and Places along America’s Most Famous Foad” was written by Beth Bacon, illustrated by Jodi Woolsey, and published by Reedy Press. The author and illustrator joined Turn the Page with Paige host Paige Hulsey to talk about their personal connections to Route 66 and what sets apart their book from others that have highlighted the world-famous road.
