Foster City officials on Friday announced that the city’s phone and email services have been restored after a cybersecurity breach last week.

The city in a statement said that officials are still working to reinstate access to all virtual public services that were affected after the breach announced March 19.

Emergency services, including 911 calls, have remained functional in the meantime and City Hall remains open to the public, city officials said.

More details about the cybersecurity breach were not immediately released by the city, which said, “We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this disruption may cause.”
