Two men from Frederick have been arrested for sex crimes involving minors, according to detectives from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

Travis Peters, 27, was arrested on Wednesday after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Dogwood Avenue in Thurmont, seizing numerous electronic devices for forensic analysis. Peters faces multiple charges, including three counts of sexual solicitation of a minor, two counts of child pornography solicitation, and three counts of distribution of obscene matter to a minor.

In an unrelated investigation, detectives executed a search warrant in the 7500 block of Woodville Road, leading to the arrest of Mark Brigham, 35, of Mount Airy.

Brigham was charged with several offenses, including sexual abuse of a minor, second-degree rape of a child under 14, and possession of child pornography. Additional charges include firearm possession with a felony conviction.
