Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) — A free event aimed at helping older adults stay safe from scams is coming to Dothan this summer.
The SARCOA Fraud Summit is scheduled for June 11, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 1065 S. Brannon Stand Road. The event is designed to help seniors and caregivers recognize, avoid, and report scams, financial fraud, and exploitation.
Organizers say attendees will hear directly from experts with the Alabama Securities Commission, AARP, the Alabama Attorney General’s Office, the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, and the Senior Medicare Patrol.
The summit will cover common scam tactics and provide guidance on how to protect personal and financial information.
Admission is free, and lunch will be provided. Seating is limited.
