Flathead Valley Community College brought a global conversation to community members.

FVCC hosted an event focused on how artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and information warfare are impacting everyday life.

The conversation called The New Front Lines broke down how emerging technology and cyber risks are shaping leadership, businesses and communities, turning complex national issues into practical insight for people in the Valley.

Mick Mulroy, former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East explained how everything is reliant on technology.

“We run everything on computers. Everything is done through satellites and computers. You can reach out and touch somebody from all the way across the world. There’s a lot of vulnerabilities and in a lot of our basic systems.”

There will be a security summit in Whitefish on April 2 and 3 that will discuss these topics in depth.
