Gallagher returns to Queensland with security forum

Gallagher Security will hold its annual Queensland Security Forum in Brisbane, marking the company’s return to the state.

The event will bring together channel partners, end users, consultants and technology partners for a day focused on security issues and product integration.

The programme will include speakers from Gallagher’s Australian leadership and technical teams, alongside members of its Queensland and Papua New Guinea operation. Scheduled speakers include Scott Johnstone, Director of Sales – Australia; Dean Matheson, National Technical Manager; Andrew Myssonski, High Security and Federal Manager; Danielle Mitchell, Training Manager for APAC and IMEA; and Pedro De Jesus, Sales Manager – Queensland and Papua New Guinea.

Sessions will cover emerging security technologies, integration within the Command Centre platform, protection of critical assets, training, support services, and ways organisations can get more from existing security systems.

Partner focus

Technology partners Anomaly, Commend, Entrust and SALTO Systems are also due to take part and will present how their products work with Gallagher’s wider security offering.

The forum follows similar events recently held in Tasmania and Western Australia. Gallagher is using the state-based forums to engage with installers, customers, consultants and partners across regional markets.

Pedro De Jesus outlined the purpose of the event in comments released by the company.

“Held on Tuesday, 29 September at The Star Brisbane, the event will showcase Gallagher’s latest security solutions alongside discussions with leading industry experts,” said Pedro De Jesus, Sales Manager – Queensland and Papua New Guinea, Gallagher Security.

He said attendees would also have direct access to the company’s executives and specialists.

“At Gallagher, we’re committed to helping organisations solve complex security challenges through trusted partnerships and market-leading technology, as well as ongoing support. This event gives attendees the chance to engage directly with Gallagher’s national leadership team and industry specialists, while seeing new technology and its capabilities,” De Jesus said.

Regional market

Queensland and Papua New Guinea form a shared market responsibility for Gallagher’s local team, and the forum is part of its approach to those territories. The company pointed to a network of channel partners in both markets, along with demand from users across a widening range of sectors.

De Jesus said the event reflected that commitment.

“The annual Security Forum reflects Gallagher’s ongoing investment in the Queensland and Papua New Guinea markets and our commitment to supporting the broader security community,” he said.

He said the company sees a broad customer base across the two markets.

“Both Queensland and Papua New Guinea are home to a strong network of channel partners, as well as end users from an ever-growing variety of industries. We’re excited to showcase what’s next and our vision for the future, and to help attendees discover new opportunities to unlock even greater value from their security platforms,” De Jesus said.

Gallagher did not disclose attendance expectations, but the event structure suggests a mix of commercial and technical discussion aimed at customers and integration partners as the company expands its reach in the region.
