The Glendale Unified School District Board of Education at its Tuesday, Sept. 8, meeting, discussed school safety plans for the 2026-27 school year, covering technology, campus resources and protocols, safety drills, security camera usage, partnership with law enforcement and student behavior data.

Director of Student Support Services Hagop Eulmessekian, who provided a presentation to the board, said the district’s current school safety measures include campus maps, the RAPTOR system, cameras on every campus, school resource officers, security guards, threat assessment protocols, drills, emergency communication protocols using ParentSquare, a tip line, restorative practices, community surveys, crossing guards and Alert, Lockdown, Informed, Counter, Evacuate (ALICE) strategies.
