A hacker using the pseudonym voices38 reported a hack to bypass Denuvo anti-piracy protection in the game Mafia The Old Country. He shared the information on CrackWatch. The size of the cracked version of the game is 39.2 GB.
The key technical feature of the release was a new method for bypassing protection. The hacker implemented the exploit without using hypervisor technology. Previously, attackers relied solely on hypervisor-based methods to defeat versions of the Denuvo system.
