WANA (Oct 15) – The Handala hacking group has claimed responsibility for hacking the data of Tzipi Livni, a former Israeli foreign minister and deputy prime minister, and publishing 120 pages of information about her contacts.

The group said it had published the information on the websites “DDoS Secrets” and “DropSite.”

Handala criticized Israel’s cybersecurity capabilities, describing the incident as a blow to the image Israeli officials have projected of their security capabilities.

The group also referred to Livni’s political positions and her public opposition to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, alleging that the two had maintained behind-the-scenes contacts and cooperation. Handala said this contradicted the media portrayal of political divisions between them.

In another part of its statement, the group referred to alleged meetings involving Livni in Qatar and Dubai, linking the issue to political developments and elections in Israel.

Handala concluded by describing the incident as evidence of vulnerabilities in Israel’s security and political structures.
