A Hernando County man already labeled a sexual predator pleaded guilty after authorities accused him of failing to report changes to his job and phone number. Kevin Kruszewski, born June 13, 1985, pleaded guilty on October 22.
Kruszewski was adjudicated guilty in 2007 in Hernando County of lewd or lascivious molestation on a victim under 12 years old, a case in which he was over 18 at the time, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. That conviction triggered a sexual predator designation in Florida, which comes with ongoing legal obligations: Kruszewski was required to keep his registration information current with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Sexual Offender and Predator System, per the sheriff’s office.
Florida law is explicit about what has to be reported. Under Florida Statutes section 943.0435, registered sexual offenders must report changes to information including home or cellular telephone numbers and employment details.
A Tip Line Call Exposes the Gap
The case against Kruszewski started coming together in late November 2025, when the sheriff’s office received information about him on November 27. Detective Marcacci learned that Kruszewski was working out of town and had not reported either his current employment or his travels, the sheriff’s office said in its release.
Investigators determined Kruszewski was using a telephone number that was never listed on his FDLE Sexual Offender and Predator System profile.
The case involved an unreported change in Kruszewski’s employment information.
Guilty Plea
On October 22, Kruszewski pleaded guilty, according to the sheriff’s office.
