HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – The City of Holyoke is working alongside Holyoke Public Schools, to secure their cyber liability insurance coverage through the City’s insurance program. Throughout the last few years, Holyoke Public Schools having been working to strengthen their technology and security systems.
A few of those steps include strengthening firewalls and other network protections. Upgrading outdated servers and technology, and Improving monitoring, backups, and ability to respond to a cyber incident.
However, they acknowledge that no system can completely rule out a cyber attack risk. Officials said they’ll continue assessing all risks and make all necessary investments to keep the city and their schools safe.
