According to officers, housekeeping called the police when they found a suicide note in a hotel room, which appeared abandoned.

The suicide note was determined to have been left by the room’s previous tenant, 49-year-old Scott Michael Lynch, per SPD.
Officers later learned that Lynch had an active warrant out of Greeley County, Colorado, for sexual assault.
Through further investigation, officers say they located Lynch at Pelican Landing Assisted Living at 13085 US Highway 1, visiting a relative, according to the criminal probable cause affidavit.
Officers say they took Lynch into custody and transported him to the Indian River County Jail for his warrant without incident.
