MANVEL, Texas — More than half a dozen men were arrested in a multi-day child exploitation sting operation targeting individuals suspected of engaging in online predatory behavior involving minors.

The Manvel Police Department announced Tuesday the results of the operation, which was conducted in coordination with the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. Seven people were taken into custody, with four more arrests pending the issuance of warrants.

All those arrested face charges of online solicitation of a minor and other related criminal offenses.

Among those arrested is Louis Anthony “Tony” Salinas, the director of media production at the Children’s Museum Houston, where he worked for five years. He has been charged with online solicitation of a minor.

The museum issued a statement confirming it had recently become aware of serious allegations involving the former employee.

“The safety and well-being of the children and families we serve is our highest priority,” the museum said. “While this matter did not arise from activities conducted through our organization, we took immediate and appropriate action upon learning of the situation.”

In the interest of transparency, Salinas previously worked at KHOU 11 for nearly a decade in behind-the-scenes roles.
