Cyber-attacks against critical utilities are on the rise. We’ve heard about breaches of big companies that expose our data, but a number of cybersecurity threats are now targeting the infrastructure systems we use every day, including: water, sewers, and electricity. A recent hack on dozens of water treatment plants, including two in New Jersey, has sparked renewed debate about the preparedness of our local systems against digital attacks, including from international adversaries like Iran, China and Russia.
