There’s a growing pressure at the moment urging the government to force technology companies to protect young people from digital harm.
A coalition of major children’s organisations say the burden has been falling too heavily on parents and whanau, and that tech companies themselves need to be held legally responsible.
But they say banning under-16 from social media is not the answer.
