Ghanaian social media sensation Ayisha Salami has shared her inspiring journey from being a victim of cyberbullying to becoming a successful TikTok influencer and a skincare brand.

Sharing her story of resilience and determination, Ayisha highlighted the challenges she faced and the success she has achieved.

Ayisha Salami, founder of Alishaskincargh. As a Psychology student at the University of Cape Coast and the owner of an award-winning skincare brand, Ayisha has used TikTok to educate people about skincare, market her products, and inspire aspiring entrepreneurs. Her story demonstrates how digital platforms can be powerful tools for growth, creativity, and education.

Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs, influencers, and content creators often become targets of online criticism, harassment, and cyberbullying. Behind every successful social media account is a real person whose mental and emotional well-being can be affected by hurtful comments, false accusations, or persistent online abuse.

“I maintained a positive online presence through resilience. Building a business online means opening oneself to public opinions, both positive and negative. While genuine customer feedback is valuable for improvement, personal attacks and online harassment serve no constructive purpose and only create a toxic digital environment so I only build on the positive feedbacks and work on the negative feedbacks that needs to be done. Said Ayisha Salami.

Ayisha’s educational background in Psychology highlights the importance of understanding human behavior and empathy. These values remind us that every comment we post has the potential to either encourage or discourage another person. Kindness, respect, and responsible communication should always guide our interactions online.

Her achievements—including receiving the Best Skincare Product of the Year Award in 2022— “demonstrate that dedication, consistency, and professionalism can outweigh negativity. Success is built through hard work, quality service, and perseverance, not by responding to online hostility” Said Ayisha Salami.

Ayisha Salami’s journey reminds us that social media should be a platform for innovation, education, and inspiration—not intimidation. As more young entrepreneurs turn to digital platforms to build their dreams, creating a culture of respect and responsible online behavior becomes increasingly important.

Cyberbullying may be a growing challenge, but through awareness, empathy, and collective responsibility, we can create safer online communities where businesses, creators, and individuals can thrive without fear of harassment.
