KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Before posting those proud first-day-of-school photos on social media, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) is urging parents to think twice about the personal information they might be sharing.
The agency released a safety alert reminding parents that ‘less is more’ when it comes to back-to-school posts.
The KBI recommends avoiding details on signs or captions such as names, ages, schools, teachers, room numbers, and bus routes, which could put a child’s security at risk for possible online predators.
