HUMPHREYS CO., Tenn. (WSMV) – Humphreys County Schools (HCS) will hold two school safety nights.
The first is on Wednesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. at McEwen High School (MHS) auditorium and the second will be on April 16, at 6 p.m. at Waverly Central High School (WCHS) auditorium.
HCS said that both nights will be informative evenings for families from pre-K to 12th grade to learn about the following:
- School safety strategies
- Emergency plans and procedures
- Family reunification
- How schools investigate reports of threats and other “potentially dangerous or criminal activity.
“This evening will center around ways we can all work together to support a secure learning environment for our children,” HCS said.
HCS said families should attend because of the following:
- They can hear directly from district and school leaders and law enforcement partners
- They can “gain an understanding” of how families can help the school district’s safety and security effort as well as to do in case of an emergency.
- They can win door prizes.
