The 51% stake acquisition is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026, with Blue becoming a subsidiary of Infotima Services and an indirect subsidiary of Infomina.

Malaysian technology solutions provider Infomina Berhad is acquiring a 51% stake in Malaysian cybersecurity specialist Blue Fortress Sdn Bhd for RM25.5 million (US$6.3 million). The acquisition is expected to strengthen Infotima Services’ expansion into higher-value enterprise technology services beyond its established mission-critical infrastructure business.

The Malaysian headquartered regional technology solutions provider specializes in the design, implementation, operation, maintenance and support of enterprise technology applications and infrastructure that support customers’ core business operation. Infotima serves customers across Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Japan.

The company has also established expertise in mission-critical infrastructure and mainframe technologies, while expanding its capabilities across cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity and managed services.

Infotima’s subsidiaries include Infomina AI Sdn Bhd and Infomina Geolytik Sdn Bhd, which focus on AI-enabled solutions, analytics, digital platforms and industry-specific applications. Its proprietary platforms, including PaymentXchange, ValuationXchange, AiMod and AiExe, support digital transactions, property intelligence, automation and decision-making across enterprise environments.

Meanwhile, as a value-added cybersecurity solutions provider headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Blue Fortress specializes in cybersecurity solutions across cryptography, key management, data protection and information security. This includes providing specialized security expertise, advisory support and tailored solutions to address evolving cybersecurity requirements.

As Blue Fortress serves major commercial banks in Malaysia, as well as large enterprises and government agencies, the acquisition will see Infotima not only have access to an established cybersecurity platform serving financial institutions, government agencies and large enterprises.

This includes opportunities to deepen relationships with existing customers by combining Blue Fortress’ specialised security capabilities with Infotima’s broader infrastructure, cloud, data and AI offerings. Blue Fortress will also have access to Infomina’s regional customer base and delivery capabilities.

Commenting on the acquisition, Yee Chee Meng, Chief Executive Officer cum Managing Director of Infomina, shared that Infomina has built a strong foundation in mission-critical infrastructure, and we are continuing to expand into higher-value technology capabilities that are increasingly important to enterprise customers.

“Blue Fortress brings established cybersecurity expertise and deep relationships in regulated industries, complementing our capabilities across infrastructure, cloud, data and AI. By combining these capabilities, we can deepen our engagement with existing customers, broaden our solutions offering and pursue new opportunities in the regional enterprise market,” he said.

For Luke Shu, Managing Director of Blue Fortress, joining Infomina provides Blue Fortress with a platform to scale its cybersecurity business and broaden market reach.

“Our specialized security capabilities, together with Infomina’s regional presence and enterprise technology expertise, will allow us to serve customers more comprehensively as their security and regulatory requirements evolve,” Shu said.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026, subject to the fulfilment of customary conditions precedent. Upon completion, Blue Fortress will become a subsidiary of Infotima Services and an indirect subsidiary of Infomina. The RM25.5 million acquisition consideration will be funded through a combination of cash and existing treasury shares of Infomina.
