European and international law enforcement agencies from over a dozen countries coordinated to disrupt the pro-Russian cybercrime group NoName057(16), Europol said Wednesday. Authorities arrested two suspects, issued seven arrest warrants, and seized more than 100 servers used by the group.
NoName057(16) is known for disruptive cyberattacks, including denial-of-service attacks targeting Ukrainian institutions and Western governments supporting Ukraine. The group’s members are mainly Russian-speaking sympathizers motivated by ideology and cryptocurrency rewards.
