IRMO, S.C.(WOLO)– Irmo Police have arrested eight men in an undercover chat operation that was on social media to catch suspected child predators.
Investigators say they pose as either a child or an adult with access to children.
Multiple suspects, not only contacted them, but revealed their harmful intentions when they arranged in person meetings to engage in sexual activity with whom they believed to be children.
Officers were able to arrest them.
Each man now faces several charges and police say other local and state as well as federal agencies also took part in the operation.
