Alexander Southwell joined Jones Day as a partner in its cybersecurity, privacy and data protection practice in New York, the firm announced Tuesday.
Southwell is a technology-focused litigator and investigations lawyer who advises global companies on cybersecurity, privacy, data innovation and AI issues, according to the firm. He regularly leads the defense of privacy and data security class actions and regulatory investigations, the firm said.
Southwell joins from McDermott Will & Schulte, where he was a partner for more than two years.
