Judd Trump releases statement claiming he was hacked after X-rated Instagram story | #hacker

Judd Trump has spoken out after a video of a man’s genitals appeared on his Instagram story, leaving his 325,000 followers on the social media platform shocked

Snooker star Judd Trump has claimed that he was the victim of a social media hack after posting an X-rated Instagram story. Trump, 36, left fans shocked on Sunday when a video of a man holding his penis in what looked to be a hotel room appeared on his account.

The post was subsequently deleted before Trump issued a statement claiming that he’d been hacked. The World No.1 wrote: “Just a quick note to let everyone know that my Instagram account was hacked.

“Any images or content posted recently were not posted by me or represent me in any way. Please disregard them while I work to regain control of the account. Thank you for your understanding.”

That post was then also deleted. Trump’s account remains public, boasting more than 325,000 followers on Instagram. Screenshots of both posts remain online.

As far as his snooker goes, Trump is coming off a last-16 exit in the World Championship, a competition which he famously won in 2019. The 36-year-old suffered defeat against Hossein Vafaei after a dramatic final frame decider at the Crucible.

Trump won the German Masters earlier this year, beating Shaun Murphy 10-4 in the final to claim his 31st ranking title and solidifying his status as world No.1. Away from the table, Trump’s personal life has been through a major change.

In March, the conflict in the Middle East forced him to leave Dubai, having left the UK in 2024. “We went to Bangkok,” Trump explained at the World Open in China.

“It’s a bit up in the air at the moment. I don’t really think I can go back, just in case I get stuck there. Just kind of looking for somewhere else to live.

“At the moment I’ll just base myself in Bangkok. There’s some good practice there and I’ve been very well looked after. It’s just all a bit play it day-by-day.

“My brother was stuck in Dubai for a little bit so that wasn’t good. Luckily he’s got out now and hopefully things turn around. I managed to practise in Thailand and dedicate myself like I normally would.

“Just trying to make the best of a bad situation. It’s just difficult at the moment because you don’t know where I’m going to be living. Every day is different.

“Just living in a hotel for the last few weeks. It’s not nice to be not at home, not knowing what you’re going to do. I don’t know what I’m going to do after this and stuff like that. Away from the table, just take the positives.”

He later told SportsBoom: “I won’t be moving back to the UK. Maybe I’ll go somewhere different. But definitely won’t be coming back to the UK any time soon.”
