NEWKIRK — The man accused of breaking into homes and taking photos of women sleeping entered guilty pleas to the charges in Kay County District Court.
Nazir Kyree Manning, 23, Ponca City, was arrested by Ponca City police in September of 2022 after a resident found Manning inside his grandmother’s home.
The resident, Curtis Gilbert, held Manning at gunpoint until police arrived. (see story)
Manning was arrested and charged with two felony counts of sexual battery, two felony charges of taking clandestine photos, indecent exposure and first degree burglary.
He entered guilty pleas to the charges this week.
The court dismissed three of the charges, breaking and entering a dwelling, and the two charges of taking clandestine photos.
He was sentenced to 20 years in prison on the two first degree burglary charges and 10 years in prison on the two sexual battery charges.
Manning was sentenced to 10 year suspended sentences on the three indecent exposure charges. He is also ordered to comply with a sex offender computer use agreement and have no contact with the victims.
