LIGONIER – A Kimmell man has been arrested for allegedly trying to meet with an underage child for sex.

Andrew L. Price, 46, 793 N. US 33, Kimmell, is charged with child solicitation, a level 4 felony; and inappropriate communication with a child with the use of a computer, a class A misdemeanor.
On April 11, officers with the Ligonier Police Department responded to a report of members with Big Country Predator Exposure being at a location. A representative with Big Country Predator Exposure informed officers that a decoy posing as a 13-year-old female had been in communication with Price since December 2025. They told officers that Price was there for a sexual encounter with the child decoy.
The representative from Big Country Predator Exposure told officers that they informed Price numerous times that the decoy was 13 years old and that Price kept communicating with the decoy. The representative stated that most of the conversations were sexual in nature.
According to court documents, Price admitted to officers that he knew that the decoy was 13 years old and was told that shortly after they began texting. Price gave consent to search his phone, where officers found lewd messages from Price to the decoy. Officers found messages where the decoy stated Price could change his mind, which Price stated, “I don’t think I will.”
Price admitted to officers that his plan was to pick up the decoy and take them back to his home in Kimmell. He would then return the decoy around 10 p.m. that night. Price told officers on scene, “I messed up.”
Price has been arrested and is awaiting trial in Noble County.
