Lake Country students, drivers reminded of back to school safety

Lake Country kids head back to class on Sept. 8 and the district is asking everyone to do their part in staying safe.
Students riding a bicycle to school are reminded to wear a helmet. E-scooters are not permitted on public roads of pathways within the district.
Drivers will see school zone speeds go into effect on Sept. 8. Speed around schools and playgrounds are 30 kilometres per hour, 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
Drivers are also asked to obey crosswalk signals and school bus signals.
