A Las Vegas pastor is facing a felony charge after being caught in a multi-agency sting operation targeting child sex predators. Neal Creecy, 46, was one of eight men caught in the operation.
Creecy had been serving as senior pastor of Redemption Church, according to an archived page on the church’s website. Since his arrest, any reference to Creecy has apparently been scrubbed from the church’s social media pages and podcast feed. The church’s website is currently down.

Redemption Church meets at the facility of The Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, but Good Samaritan told KLAS that it has no affiliation with Redemption Church other than renting its facility to the Southern Baptist congregation.
In an Aug. 15 press release, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said that the sting operation was undertaken by the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in partnership with the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force. Local police departments also participated in the operation.
All eight men are said to have met authorities at a predetermined location after corresponding with investigators online under the belief that they were meeting a child for sex.
All the men arrested face charges of luring a child with a computer for a sex act. Creecy was booked into the Henderson Detention Center.
On Sunday (Aug. 17), Elijah LeFavour preached a sermon at Redemption Church titled “What To Do With Sin.”

“As you all know, we had a pastor who recently resigned because of some sin issues that got exposed,” said LeFavour.
