MANILA, Philippines – The Senate is holding a hearing on Thursday, August 20, to tackle recent incidents of violence inside schools and the impact of digital platforms on children.
These incidents include the Ateneo de Zamboanga University shooting that occurred last Tuesday, August 18, and the June 22 Tacloban City shooting, both involving minors.
Lawmakers are also looking into the possible influence of online gaming platforms like Roblox, and how social media usage is affecting mental health of the youth.
