A sexual predator was arrested by the Morris Police Department and other agencies for violating the Illinois Sex Offender Registry. The Morris Police Department said they conducted a Registered Sex Offender address verification check at the Park Motel on Kenneth Bryant on June 11th.
Bryant was found to be non-compliant with his registration requirements pursuant to the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act. An investigation into Bryant’s whereabouts was initiated. Bryant was located by Morris Police Detectives at a gas station in Minooka on June 19th. Police officials say Bryant is alleged to have stayed in the area for several days including traveling out of state briefly.
The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and Minooka Police Department were contacted to assist, and as a result Bryant was taken into custody for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender with Previous Convictions, a Class 2 Felony. Bryant also has pending criminal charges for Failure to Register as Sex Offender and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender While Crossing State Lines.
