LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — Two of 13 cases stemming from Operation Liberty Lake last year have been resolved.

On April 29, Kyle White was sentenced to a year in prison after pleading guilty to one count of attempted child molestation in the second degree.

Jennifer Whittaker, however, was found incompetent by the court to stand trial after an evaluation.

The court found she was unlikely to regain competency and dismissed her case.

Whittaker had faced charges of conspiracy to commit rape of a child in the second degree and conspiracy to commit sexual abuse of a minor.

Operation Liberty Lake focused on people involved in the sexual abuse and exploitation of children.

The Missing and Exploited Children Task Force led the operation with Homeland Security Investigations and other local and federal partners.

The names of the individuals taken into custody during the operation can be found here.
