WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — Manton City officials said they are considering legal action after approving a resolution addressing what they describe as targeted harassment and cyberbullying directed at elected leaders.
The resolution was approved during Wednesday night’s Manton City Commission meeting.
Officials cited what they called a deliberate and escalating campaign of online harassment, intimidation and personal attacks against commissioners.
City leaders said they are reviewing possible legal remedies with the city attorney, although no action has been taken against any specific individuals at this time.
Officials said the resolution was intended to address concerns over offensive online conduct directed at city leaders personally.
