The United States has announced a new visa restriction policy targeting individuals accused of involvement in cybercrime and cyber-enabled criminal activities, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Thursday.
According to a statement released by the U.S. State Department, the new policy will apply to people who are responsible for, facilitate, or are complicit in cybercrime, as Washington steps up efforts to combat malicious cyber activities, News.Az reports, citing Reuters.
Rubio said the restrictions could also extend to the immediate family members of individuals found to be involved in such offenses.
