AUBURN, NH, August 19, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Lisa A. Laventure, MPA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. Ms. Laventure has built a distinguished career marked by her dedication to both professional excellence and community involvement. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire, since 2019, she imparts her extensive knowledge to students, preparing them for future challenges in their respective fields. Ms. Laventure teaches the Executive Master’s in Cybersecurity courses while also developing courses for both the bachelor’s and master’s programs.
A professional journey characterized by significant roles across industries, Ms. Laventure spent 2021 to 2025 as a Senior Manager, Strategy for Nightwing, a company divested from Raytheon Technologies. In this capacity, she played a pivotal role in optimizing workforce intelligence. Previously, Ms. Laventure served as the Cyber Lead and Section Manager for Systems Security Engineering at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, starting in 2019, where she oversaw cybersecurity initiatives and led a team of 25 engineers nationwide. Her earlier tenure at Raytheon Missiles & Defense included her role as a Senior Principal Software Engineer and Deputy Cyber Lead for the Patriot Program between 2017 and 2019. During this period, Ms. Laventure was involved in negotiating risk mitigations, developing security strategies, certification and accreditation, and engaging in business development for the Virginia-based defense and space manufacturing company. She previously excelled at Raytheon as an Information Assurance Manager between 2008 and 2014.
Ms. Laventure was the U.S. Department of Defense Program Manager at Philips in Andover, Massachusetts, from 2014 to 2017. After 9/11, she was a Civil Aviation Security Specialist with the Transportation Security Administration in Herndon, Virginia, from 2002 to 2005. Ms. Laventure’s initial experience as an Air Traffic Assistant with the Federal Aviation Administration provided her with valuable insights into aviation management.
In preparation for her future, Ms. Laventure received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Aviation Management from Southern New Hampshire University in 1999 and a Master of Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire in 2005. Her achievements are further underscored by several professional designations, including Certified Innovator and Program Management level 6 from Raytheon in 2023. She is also a Lean Kaizen and Six Sigma certified. Ms. Laventure has also been a licensed Notary Public and Justice of the Peace in New Hampshire for many years.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Laventure is deeply committed to civic engagement and mentorship. She is involved with several organizations, including the Society of Women Engineers, Women In CyberSecurity, New Hampshire Technical Alliance Tech Women|Tech Girls, Intelligence and National Security Alliance as well as others during her career. Her volunteer work extends to the Elliot Hospital and Holy Trinity Catholic School. Previously, Ms. Laventure was affiliated with the Auburn Village School Parent Teacher Association from 2011 to 2021.
In recognition of her dedication to excellence, Ms. Laventure has been honored with many Achievement Awards from Raytheon, to include the Innovator Award in 2023. From Philips she received the Michael Murphy Challenge Coin in 2015 and the Game Changer Award for Delivering Results in 2016. Throughout her career, she has been supported by her family and friends, attributing much of her success to their encouragement. As she looks forward, Ms. Laventure aims to share her knowledge and experience to train and educate future generations while making meaningful contributions to national security. Additionally, she remains committed to supporting women and giving back to her community.
