MEAD, Okla. (KXII) – A Mead man was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of soliciting a minor after an online predator exposure group said it posed as a teenage girl, arranged a meet-up and alerted law enforcement.
PredatorPoachers said in a post that its members posed as a 13-year-old girl to arrange a sexual meet-up with Bradley James Dean, 39.
In the group’s video, members alleged Dean “wanted to take the girl’s virginity” and said Dean admitted he has viewed sexually explicit videos of children as young as 5 years old.
The video shows a Bryan County sheriff’s deputy arresting Dean at a home.
“He answered the door and he immediately started blabbering about how i actually met her and her mom at Walmart I was just trying to get her mom a job, but we’re obviously on the other end of this and we know he obviously never met this girl in person,” said Alex Rosen, Predator Poachers Founder.
Bryan County jail records show Dean was booked into the Bryan County Jail on charges of solicitation of a minor, using technology to commit a sex crime, and lewd or indecent proposals to a minor.
Bryan County Sheriff Joey Tucker provided the following statement to KXII 12 News:
I am proud of the work being done by the team at Predator Poachers in their efforts to protect our children and support law enforcement agencies across the country. By identifying individuals who seek to exploit and victimize minors online, they are helping bring critical information to the attention of authorities and increasing awareness of the dangers that exist on the internet. Protecting our youth is a responsibility we all share, and partnerships between vigilant citizens and law enforcement can play an important role in keeping our communities safe. Those who prey upon children should be held accountable, and together we can continue working to ensure that predators are identified, investigated, and brought to justice.
