Cyber threat management company Naru Security said on Sunday it signed a memorandum of understanding with hosting service company Viaweb for business cooperation and the development of a “ZeroTrust Hosting” model for small and midsize enterprises.

The collaboration focuses on enabling small companies, which lack security budgets and specialist staff and find it difficult to build their own security systems, to receive cyber threat detection and analysis services from the hosting infrastructure layer without having to adopt security solutions or run dedicated teams.

Under the agreement, the companies decided to cooperate on the joint development and operation of a hosting-based zero trust service, support for security data collection and threat analysis, and expanding the market through joint sales and marketing.

The “ZeroTrust Hosting” the companies are introducing combines Naru Security’s subscription-based breach assessment service “ZeroTiCA” with Viaweb’s hosting infrastructure. It detects anomalies early based on network data generated in the hosting environment, and security experts verify whether an actual breach has occurred.

Kim Hyuk-jun (김혁준), chief executive of Naru Security, said, “For small companies, it is realistically difficult to operate an independent security system at all times.” He added, “This security model is a service designed so that more small companies can secure a basic protection system, and it will become a new standard for the era of ‘infrastructure security’ that does not leave security to customers.”
