NCC directs telecom firms to allocate dedicated budgets for cybersecurity
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has directed telecom operators to establish dedicated cybersecurity budgets to strengthen the resilience of the country’s communications infrastructure, CommunicationsWeek reported. The directive was issued under the cyber resilience framework for the Nigerian Communications Sector (CRF-NCS). It introduces new governance, risk management and operational requirements to protect critical infrastructure from increasingly sophisticated attacks.
