This story spans the entire width of the United States, as a convicted child predator and sex offender in Florida who escaped to Idaho and California has finally been captured in Louisiana.
The man failed to appear in court for his crimes in Florida and reportedly fled west, where he attempted to make friends with families who had children.
Child Predator Evaded Police in California and Idaho, Arrested in Louisiana
The initial reports state that the man, Christian Bert Fischer, was wanted for ‘traveling to meet a minor after use of a computer to lure a child’ came out in late October of 2024.
Information from the US Marshals press release described Fischer as:
a 42-year-old white male, 5’10”, 200 lbs., and has blonde hair and blue-colored eyes. FISCHER is also known to dress like a woman.
Authorities attempted to arrest Fischer in Athol, Idaho, on October 22, but he was able to escape.
Until yesterday.

The US Department of Justice sent out an update that Fischer had been arrested in New Orleans, Louisiana, yesterday, July 17th, after more than a year on the run.
Fischer initially gave authorities a fake name before coming clean about his true identity.
