Cybercrime is no longer a distant concern; it’s a growing reality for businesses across the South West.
On Wednesday, 9th July 2025, Exeter-based Nexus will host “Cyber Survival: Defend, Respond, Recover”, a full-day event at The Forge, Winslade Manor, designed to help local business leaders and technical managers strengthen their defences against cyber attacks.
The event brings together cybersecurity experts, law enforcement, PR specialists, and legal advisors to provide practical guidance on protecting organisations, managing incidents, and recovering from breaches with minimal disruption.
Speakers include David Woodfine, Managing Director of CSA Cyber, who will showcase live demos and global cyber defence insights; Sam Parsons from the South West Cyber Crime Police Unit, offering regional threat intelligence and prevention tips; Laura Dale, PR and Crisis Communications Consultant from Chalk & Ward; and Thomas Chartres-Moore, Head of Intellectual Property, Data Protection, and Technology at Stephens Scown LLP, discussing the impact of AI on cybercrime.
Attendees will also hear real-life case studies from local businesses that have faced cyber incidents, sharing critical lessons learned.
With networking opportunities, expert advice, and refreshments from The Forge’s award-winning chefs, the event promises to be both informative and engaging.
Tickets are limited and include a £10 donation to Hospiscare, the event’s chosen charity.
Businesses that rely on data and digital systems are strongly encouraged to attend.
