BEAVER DAM, Ky. (WBKO) – The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is making sure parents have aware of the dangerous people lurking on the internet.
On Thursday, Aug. 6, the sheriff’s office is hosting a panel about online child predators.
Speakers include Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright, Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman, Trooper Lloyd Ray, and retired Daviess County Special Deputy Cheryl Purdy.
Officials will share ways parents can keep their kids safe on line, grooming tactics used by online predators, risks on gaming platforms, sextortion and other digital threats, and more.
The event will be held at the Ohio County Board of Education. It is free and open to the public.
