LINCOLN PARISH, La. (KNOE) – The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office announced the arrest of 67 registered sex offenders in North Louisiana.
The AG’s office, alongside other law enforcement agencies, held a press conference in Lincoln Parish to address the arrests. According to AG Liz Murrill, “Operation Access Denied” is one of the largest stings conducted in Louisiana targeting registered sex offenders.
“Operation Access Denied” ran from Nov. 1 to Dec. 1 and resulted in 67 previously convicted sex offenders being accused of additional crimes against children.
The AG’s office said some of the 67 suspects were re-arrested for crimes involving first-degree rape, computer-aided solicitation of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile, possession of child sexual abuse material, sexual abuse of an animal, and other charges.

“We will leave no stone unturned in doing everything we possibly can to protect the children of Louisiana,” Murrill said.
Murrill added that her office is looking to bring similar operations to other parts of Louisiana in the near future.
