DirectViz Solutions LLC demonstrated that the US Army conducted a flawed organizational conflict of interest evaluation before awarding Peraton Inc. a $225 million cybersecurity services task order, the GAO said Friday.

The Army should meaningfully consider whether Peraton has an impaired objectivity conflict arising from its performance of another Army task order, called ARCYBER, the Government Accountability Office said in a decision.

An impaired objectivity conflict arises when a contractor has competing interests that undermine its ability to give impartial advice to the government, the GAO said.
