Hacking is the biggest part of the PRAGMATA experience, but also one of its most divisive. Some will inevitably love alternating between shooting and hacking, while others will find hacking breaks the pace of third-person shooter combat too much.
Thankfully, for the latter group, the game does feature Auto-Hacking, though it is not available from the start.
How to Unlock
To get access to this feature, you must first complete Sector 2: Mass Production Array. Once finished, it can be unlocked from the Unit Printer in the Shelter for 1 Pure Luneum.
How Does It Work

Any time you aim at an enemy and the Hacking Matrix appears, press the right stick to enter auto-hacking.
Auto-hacking automatically hits all basic nodes in the Matrix in exchange for a small amount of hacking gauge (the same gauge used to activate Overdrive Mode). However, it cannot be activated with error nodes on the Matrix, such as when an enemy is jamming Diana’s hacking capabilities.
Strategy and Caveats
While convenient, you should not rely too much on this feature due to several specific drawbacks:
- Using it repeatedly will empty your hacking gauge, leaving you unable to use Overdrive Mode during difficult combat encounters.
- Auto-hacking does not activate Hacking Nodes with limited uses, such as Multihack and Confuse.
- To maximize hacking efficacy and trigger powerful status effects, you will still need to hack manually.
It is a good option when you are feeling overwhelmed, but it should be used as a tool for breathing room rather than a permanent replacement for manual inputs.
