The Beach Haven Public Library presents “Vigilance Against Cyber Crime” on Wednesday, July 30 at 1 p.m.
The guest speaker is Marty Siederer, who will be appearing in partnership with the AARP. He will discuss how to keep personal information private in the ever-changing cyber world. The program’s aim is to empower people on how to be safe in public, at home, when using social media and when banking or shopping.
Siederer will also discuss common scams and how people can avoid them.
A graduate of Rutgers University, Siederer is a longtime nonprofit executive. He currently serves as executive director of MAC Angels Foundation, which provides services and support to enhance the quality of life for individuals, families and caregivers who are impacted daily by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
