LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Bad actors aren’t just out to get you, they’d also love to attack your employer and all your colleagues.

Your office or work network may seem secure, but even a simple mistake can open the door to disaster.

With that in mind, never write down passwords in notebooks or on sticky notes. If someone finds them, your security could be compromised. Remember to lock your screen whenever you leave your computer. And, avoid inserting unfamiliar USB drives into your hard drive. They can spread malware through your organization’s system. Also, don’t download untrusted applications or software onto your work computer. They too can infect your network with viruses.

The same security steps you follow at work can also enhance your cybersecurity at home.
