LAFAYETTE, IN — The Tippecanoe County Local Child Fatality Review Team plans to present its findings on 2025 child deaths during a public forum scheduled for Feb. 24.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to noon in the Tippecanoe County Office Building at 20 N. 3rd St. in Lafayette, according to a community announcement.

The forum will provide information for parents, grandparents, child-care providers, babysitters, family members who care for children, law enforcement, medical and health-care professionals, emergency medical services personnel, preschool teachers and assistants, school administrators and justice officials.

Speakers to discuss child safety issues

Scheduled speakers include Jason Biss, Tippecanoe County chief deputy prosecutor, and Elyse A. Madigan, deputy prosecutor. Madigan will discuss findings from the Tippecanoe County Local Child Fatality Review Team for 2025. She also will cover Indiana state trends and safe sleep practices, along with local statistics, according to the announcement.
