Walcott thanked patrons for their patience as the system continues to recover.”First, I want to thank the public for their patience, understanding and support as we continue to respond to the ransomware attack earlier this week,” Walcott said. “Our team is heartened by the words of encouragement and appreciation for QPL that so many people have shared with us. We know how much our customers rely on the Library’s technology to access information, use our resources, and stay connected. Our dedicated staff are working hard to continue serving the public and ensure that our libraries remain welcoming places for all.”Walcott said the library’s IT team has restored free Wi-Fi service at all open locations, and that check-out and return machines are operating at limited capacity.Although the library’s website remains unavailable, visitors are being redirected to a temporary webpage that provides basic information and service updates.
