BRISTOL, Tenn. — Ballad Health’s Niswonger Children’s Network will host “Beyond the Screen: Helping Youth Navigate Social Media Safely” on Sept. 1 from 9-11:30 a.m. at Bristol Motor Speedway’s Bruton Smith Building.

Experts and a youth panel will discuss cyberbullying, online predators, privacy and mental health, offering strategies for safer social media use. Registration is required.

The free event is part of the Strong Kids initiative, a partnership between the Niswonger Children’s Network and Speedway Children’s Charities aimed at supporting the health and wellbeing of children across the region.

Organizers say the program is designed for parents, caregivers and educators seeking practical guidance as young people spend increasing amounts of time online.

The panel discussion will pair professional insight with firsthand perspectives from teens, giving attendees a fuller picture of the digital challenges youth face today.

Space may be limited. To register, visit www.speedwaycharities.org/events/bristol/strong-kids-forum-beyond-the-screen.
