Police in Round Rock arrested a man on Wednesday in connection with a child sexual assault investigation involving multiple victims.

Police say 52-year-old Rodney Vaughan Rhynes of Round Rock was taken into custody and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Rhynes is currently being held at the Williamson County Jail, with bond set at $500,000 for each charge, bringing a combined bond of $1 million. Round Rock PD says they were assisted by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in the arrest.

The investigation, police say, is ongoing and involves multiple victims. Those who may have information related to the case is asked to contact Detective Roger Zamora at 512-595-2605.

Rhynes has a lengthy criminal history in Williamson County. According to jail records, Rhynes has been booked 15 times in the county since 2005, including six DWI charges, three drug possession charges, and a 2010 arrest in Cedar Park for allegedly assaulting a family member.
