Big data analytics artificial intelligence (AI) company S2W said on Tuesday it has launched DRI (Deep Research Investigator), an autonomous AI agent specialised for criminal investigations.
S2W said DRI, which will be embedded in its security AI platform XARVIS, links big data the company directly collects from so-called cybercrime hotspots such as the dark web, deep web, Telegram and hacking forums into real-time knowledge context. It analyses hidden threats and provides intelligence needed for investigations.
The company stressed that with only a simple natural-language query, the agent itself can select and extract necessary information from vast training data. It can also provide in-depth answers by organically combining and using various types of detection and analysis tools.
S2W plans to introduce DRI at Cyber Summit Korea (CSK 2026), a global cybersecurity event hosted by the National Intelligence Service and the National Security Research Institute, to be held for three days from Sept. 16 at COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam district.
Jae-young Lee (이재영), head of security at S2W, said investigators can delegate cumbersome routine work to the agent and focus on high-level decision-making, such as setting the overall direction of an investigation based on the case context. He said the company also plans to apply AI agent technologies accumulated during DRI’s development to other product lines, including its cyber threat intelligence (CTI) solutions and industry-specific AI platforms, to enhance scalability and versatility.
